About me

Eileen Wallace - psychotherapist in Woking

As a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist, I have extensive training and experience in private and NHS settings. I am accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am also a member of the Guildford Centre for Psychotherapy (GCP). I obtained a postgraduate diploma in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice from WPF Therapy. This was an in-depth training spanning five years. I have also worked as an Honorary Psychotherapist in Surrey and Borders Partnership Trust.

In the past I have sat on a local Clinical Commissioning Group. I have also organised events on mental health through a local doctor’s surgery’s patient group. Through this I set up and facilitated a Post-Natal Depression Support Group alongside Sure Start.

I speak English and Spanish with an appreciation of living and working in another culture. I have special interest in the following areas:

  • Relationship issues and intimacy
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Depression including: pre- and post-natal, difficulties around miscarriage, conception, stillbirth and bereavement
  • Identity and its complexities, including: gender, sexuality and cross cultural
  • The impact of life-threatening illness
  • The emotional complexities facing trauma
